Refilling the Packing Peanuts in West Bay

• Take the bag of packing peanuts from the platform outside the Yellow Door and take it to the peanuts hamper in West Bay – if there aren’t any peanuts on the platform notify your supervisor
• Lower the hamper by pulling the rope tight, removing the loop from the lower hook, slowly letting the hamper down (be sure to guide the hamper so that it doesn’t hit anything), and hooking the loop onto the upper hook
• Cut open the bag of peanuts using a box knife or scissors
• Half of a full bag of peanuts will fit into the hamper
• Dump the peanuts carefully so as to avoid making a mess outside the hamper
• Once the hamper is full, lower the bag to the floor making sure that any peanuts that are still coming out either go into the hamper or stay in the bag
• If the bag is empty, throw the bag away
• Shake any peanuts that are lingering in the top of the bag down to the bottom of the bag
• Tie the bag closed
• Place the bag of peanuts back on the platform outside the Yellow Door
• Pull the rope slowly to release the loop from the upper hook
• As you pull the rope down, guide the hamper so that it does not hit or get stuck on anything on its way up
• Pull the rope and hook the loop onto the lower hook
• Clean up any mess that was created while refilling the peanuts
